The Saarland reflex for a romantic weekend is often Trier or the Luxembourg Moselle. Yet from Saarbrücken, the drive to our suites in northern Alsace is exactly the same.

And at the end of the journey, unlike Trier or central Strasbourg, you don't pull up to a tourist city with its crowds, parking and queues. You arrive in a small Alsatian village, in front of a private suite that's entirely yours.
Why you won't find the equivalent in the Saarland
The Saarland has plenty of tourist appeal: the Saar bend at Mettlach, the Centre Pompidou in Metz, the spa towns of the Palatinate. But it does not, as far as we know, offer five-star private love rooms with a private hot tub and a secret room. The concept is profoundly French.
